We decided to call this project “The Sanctuary” because this awesome Westmere home blended so nicely into the surrounding tree’s making it feel like a bird sanctuary. This home undertook major construction over 15months. Our client had a young child and wanted to live in during the work as much as possible which made things very tricky from an H&S side of things. We propped the entire house using steel that would eventually become the structure and excavated 4.5m under the existing house.
